If you’re a fan of the style found in games like Katamari, Scott Pilgrim, Earthbound, Animal Crossing, or other sweet and strange videogame series, chances are you’ll feel right at home. In fact, I’d wager that a lot of the charm and humor in the game may have a greater effect on people who aren’t already familiar with Adventure Time, as the concepts and characters will feel more fresh. I laughed out loud and not just because I’m a fan of the show. Not a paid DS game.Like some of the best episodes of the show, the game’s storyline is fairly barebones, but the writing is excellent. I can see how a fan of the show may like this, but it should really be a free browser game. In the few hours I played I ran into numerous glitches that made simple platforming sections a pain. The quality of the music is poor and repetitive. The graphics are something that belong on the GBA not the DS.
There is no sense of danger due to how plentiful powerups, and life replenishers are within the game as well as savepoints. I would reckon the game lasts about 6-8 hours total of basic platforming mixed with hack and slash elements. It seems to be more like a port of a free flash game that may I say again would/should be free on Cartoon Network's website.
